Back with their first new sounds since 2012's eponymous debut album, Django Django release First Light as the first new single from their forthcoming second album due out this spring.
The track retains a lot of the Django Django feel; Afrobeats, intersecting rhythms and synths; but it's all dialed down a notch. Whereas Default was a banger, this track is a slow jam. First Light woozes with pysch-pop and electronica influences; and the bands vocal harmonies float over the top effortlessly.
