Hear Glasgow are holding a Music Industry Panel Event on Wednesday 14th March between 6pm and 8pm at Studio One, The City Halls, Candleriggs. Hop along if you wish to pose your questions about a career in the music industry.

The biggest festival north of the border announced their line up recently. I'm less than impressed T In The Park. Decide what you think here.
Rockness have also added some new names to their bill. As I'm going to this one, I've paid it a bit more attention. New names include, Admiral Fallow, The View, Friendly Fires, The Drums, The Rapture, Mylo, Kassidy, and Mystery Jets. So-so...
The SAMA's took place at The Garage on Thursday night. The winners were: Best Live Act - We Were Promised Jetpacks, Best Rock/Alternative - Fatherson, Best Electronic - Fridge Magnets, Best Newcomer - Bwani Junction, Best Metal - Ten Tonne Dozer, Best Hip Hop - Madhat McGore, Best Acoustic - Brown Bear & The Bandits
One of my favourite events Stag & Dagger announced the first acts to play this year. Django Django, White Denim, The Phantom Band, Bear In Heaven, Death Grips, Willy Mason, Still Corners and Vitamin all set to play.
Brand new label Comets & Cartwheels has popped up recently with Endor, Quickbeam and Partwindpartwolf.
Glasgow City Council have announced that they will scrap their proposed fees for public events which are temporary or free of charge. Huzzah!

One of the most exciting acts about, PAWS have joined Scottish big guns We Were Promised Jetpacks and The Twilight Sad on Fat Cat Records. With the debut album in the bag, it's looking better and better for PAWS.
De Rosa announced this week that they are reforming. With a new website on the way, and new material being recorded it's good news.
Showing a bit of sense, Glasgow City Council have put on hold their Public Entertainment License proposals for six months to complete a full consultation. So far over 12,000 people have added their name to a petition. Click on the link to join them, and check out the full implications of the scheme here.

Glasgow band Pareto have announced their split. As a parting gift they have made their final single, 'These Men Can't Dance' available to download for free here.
One of the best small festivals on the circuit Doune The Rabbit Hole have all of these things: A) a new website, B) a new location and C) an awesome line up including The Phantom Band, Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat, Olympic Swimmers, The John Knox Sex Club, Three Blind Wolves and much much more. Another split, this time alt rockers The Dykeenies have called it a day. Although this particular style of music isn't my favourite, they had some solid tunes, and it's sad news indeed.

Bands In Transit put together a very special documentary video featuring RM Hubbert, French Wives, Errors and Emma Pollock. Well worth taking the time to watch it.
Shambles Miller has finally sold the last copy of his second EP 'Shambles Sails The Clockwork Sea'. To celebrate he has put his back catalogue available to download on a 'pay what you wish' basis for the time being. Grab them here.
Brew At The Bog takes place just outside Inverness on May 5th. It looks heavy braw with names such as Three Blind Wolves, Endor, Washington Irving, Kitty The Lion, Over The Wall, The Seventeenth Century, Open Swimmer and more all on the bill. You can buy tickets are £45 a pop here.

Shambles Miller has finally sold the last copy of his second EP 'Shambles Sails The Clockwork Sea'. To celebrate he has put his back catalogue available to download on a 'pay what you wish' basis for the time being. Grab them here.
Brew At The Bog takes place just outside Inverness on May 5th. It looks heavy braw with names such as Three Blind Wolves, Endor, Washington Irving, Kitty The Lion, Over The Wall, The Seventeenth Century, Open Swimmer and more all on the bill. You can buy tickets are £45 a pop here.
Seems as if every week Overlook Records are signing another band. This time it's Ayrshire band As In Bear. Congrats guys!

Another week, another band getting signed. Overlook Records seem to be hogging them, as they have snapped up Ayr quartet Bellow Bellow. To celebrate they are giving a whole heap of stuff away for free.

RM Hubbert was on Subcity radio on Friday playing song live songs. Have a listen.
Frightened Rabbit played a gig on Thursday night at Cabaret Voltaire. There was some slight issues. Here's what the band had to say about it.

Glasgow hardcore band Take A Worm For A Walk Week announced their split earlier this week. Never ones to do things by half you can be sure their farewell and final gig.

Scottish Fiction favourite RM Hubbert announced a mini tour kicking off 27th January in Glasgow's Stereo.

Happy Particles are live on BBC Introducing In Scotland with Ally McCrae on Sunday night. Listen from 12 midnight.
Uncle Vic has tipped a mere 35 bands for 'success' in 2012. Have a gander here.
Glasgow epic popsters Galleries were tipped as the band of the week by BBC Introducing. Might have to eat our words about Scottish bands not getting any exposure. Then again...
It's always great when a deserving band get signed. One such band is So Many Animal Calls who signed to Overlook Records.
Graham Coxon is touring. A whole heap of bands have applied to support him. Lots of good Scottish ones, including The Spook School, are amongst them. Have a gander and vote for your favourites here.
As well as nearly selling out the ABC (tickets going fast) Admiral Fallow have also signed to Nettwork Music Group.
